Boomerang is a channel that originally started out as a block on Cartoon Network on December 8, 1992, but was then spun off onto its own channel on April 1, 2000 where it used to be dedicated in playing classic Hanna-Barbera, MGM and Looney Tunes cartoons.

As of 2015—much to the disappointment of fans—the channel went through an extensive rebranding and rarely airs anything of Hanna-Barbera outside of the Scooby-Doo or Tom and Jerry franchise; both of which still remain here to this day. Despite this, some HB properties are available on Boomerang's SVOD service, though a vast majority still remain unavailable.

Even more recently in 2023 and onward, some of Hanna-Barbera's catalog was added back to the usual schedule, such as Yogi Bear, The Flintstones, The Jetsons, Wacky Races, amongst others.
