The 1940s is the decade William Hanna and Joseph Barbera first collaborated on an animated project, but before they founded Hanna-Barbera.

The majority of their work is Tom and Jerry theatrical shorts done MGM Animation. This list also includes the Droopy theatrical shorts, which Hanna and Barbera would be attached to as producers in the 1950s.
